Using Play as a Proactive Strategy in Parenting

Parenting can be exhausting, even at the best of times. Particularly so, when the daily family routines are bogged down with resistance. One way parents can get ahead of resistance is to ask children to do things, using their language, the language of play. Mustering up the energy to be playful can seem daunting and unachievable to an exhausted parent, however, play can be a proactive strategy that breaks down resistance, to make daily family routines smoother and more fun!
